The beach isn't crowded even during peak season and on weekends you will meet some local people joining for a relaxing day. There are no scooters, banana boats, parasailing, speedboats or other disturbing vehicles. From November to April, the sea is usually calm, swimming is safe. From May to October the weather is fine most of the time and swimming mostly safe.
