Chiva-Som International Health Resort in Hua Hin

Location:

The resort is a luxury tropical health retreat located in the royal beachfront city of Hua Hin. A jewel on the coast spread across 7 acres of beachfront, it is just 185 km south of Bangkok and is easily accessible by road (3 hours) or air. Hua Hin's shopping opportunities are just a 15-minute walk away, while it is just 10 minutes to the King's Summer Palace.

Facilities:


A secluded world of beauty and serenity, the resort's name literally means the "Haven of Life" - a luxury health resort dedicated to revitalising the mind, body and spirit. The beachfront resort represents tranquillity at its best, combined with luxurious accommodation, nestled within lush tropical gardens. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe, currency exchange facility, cloak room and lift access. A hairdresser's salon, restaurants, Internet/WLAN access (the former subject to fees), room and laundry services, as well as cycle hire all feature at the hotel. Parking facilities are also available to guests arriving by car.

Rooms:


Each room has satellite TV and DVD player. Ceiling fans and individually adjustable air conditioning are available for maximum temperature control and comfort. International direct dial telephone, en suite bathroom, bathrobes, hairdryer, refrigerator, Internet access, minibar/mini-fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and room safe come as standard in all rooms. Scented oil burners in each room are individually chosen by guests, hair products are selected depending on hair type, while the mattresses (soft or hard) and pillows may be changed upon guests' request. Either double or king-size beds come as standard. Rooms have either a balcony or a terrace.

Meals:


The resort features a number of restaurants. The Emerald Room Restaurant is an international spa cuisine restaurant, while Taste of Siam Restaurant is located by the beach and serves Thai spa cuisine, specifically the hotel's Spa Cuisine. This is renowned worldwide and has won many awards. A blend of Thai and Western delicacies, the menus include numerous choices of low calories and low fat spa cuisine ranging from meat, fish and vegetarian dishes through to stunning desserts.

How to get there:

Travelling from Bangkok Airport to the resort in Hua Hin couldn't be easier. By limousine, the journey from the Bangkok Airport to the warm welcome of the spa takes less than 3 hours. Flying time is approximately 45 minutes.
